KNIT, CROCHET OR SEW A BEANIE IN APRIL & MAY 2023
This project is in its 13th year and continues to attract supporters from around the State including SI clubs, residents of Boronia Pre-Release Prison and community and craft groups.
In 2022 SI members along with community groups and individuals knitted/donated 1,202 beanies, 74 scarves/shawls, 2 blankets, and 5 pairs of gloves.
Please consider knitting, crocheting or sewing beanies or scarves for this project in April & May. Donations of wool are also welcome as this can be knitted into beanies and scarves by our volunteers. Beanies & scarves will be collected at the end of May and distributed in early June 2023 to many different agencies.
A great way to swell the number of beanies & scarves you can contribute is to enlist the support of friends, business contacts and relatives – let’s get everyone knitting!
